The following links will provide some information on Cancer treatment with Marijuana and related compounds. Thanks to the National Institute of Health and the National Cancer Institute for publishing this research information. One thing to note, the treatment of certain cancers with small doses of CBD compounds increased the cancer, whereas increasing the dose to five times the original dose reduced the cancer(1). This seems to point to the need for dosage based research therapy. Research into the optimal dose is warranted and funding should be provided for this. There is also research needed to investigate the effects of the “entourage effect” of all the compounds in the different strains of Marijuana. The Terpines and other the compounds present, in association with the THC’s and CBD’s, produce different effects and have different results that could be used for treating different afflictions. The formulation of the compounds used could have positive treatment outcomes, or have no effect at all base on dosage and ratios of those compounds.
