UPDATE 9/18/20 The vote H.R.3884 has been delayed until AFTER the November Election. 67% of the people polled want legalization and decriminalization and should voice their opinion by VOTING in November! Kamala Harris announced on September 14, 2020, that if elected “Under a Biden-Harris administration, we will decriminalize the use of marijuana and automatically expunge all marijuana-use convictions, and end incarceration for drug use alone,” Harris said. “This is no time … for half-steppin’, this is no time for incrementalism. We need to deal with the system, and there needs to be significant change in the design of the system.” Video Here…

There is an open bill-H.R.3884 – Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement Act of 2019 that should be voted upon in Late September of 2020. Passage of this would change the Federal Classification from Sch 1 to Sch 2. It is a start that is needed, and some say it is only a partial move. Here is the link-HR 3884

Marijuana Reform Legislation
This bill would be a major change to the way Marijuana and the people who use it are treated.

New laws are being proposed in Congress concerning the legalization and re-scheduling of marijuana from a Schedule 1 drug. Both the Senate and House are submitting legislation to change the status of Marijuana. This will probably result in a new era for Marijuana business. The Federal government’s acknowledgement of the commercial possibilities for both medical marijuana and decriminalization for recreational marijuana will generate tax revenue and produce more jobs. With Canada recently legalizing recreational use the business market will evolve rapidly there. Mexico is considering changing the regulation on marijuana. If that were to happen, then it would only make sense to legalize it in the USA to foster legitimate business that could be taxed and regulated, rather than the illegal Drug Cartels profiting from marijuana.
